Some of your examples have spelling and punctuation mistakes. These are not considered grammatical errors.

Consider it a blanket term for the nature of the test.

I'm not sure how you did your scoring but some of your examples have spelling and punctuation mistakes. It's hard for me to choose the right answe when I see al those mistake. Anyway, I know what's my standard of English as I found out throughout the years I've been chatting online with a lot of English Speaking people, they can't even spell right. But f I do any mistake now, it's because I'm so tired and sleep to go check my typing. I'm going to bed now! NIght night!!!

I agree. Every single question, except for one, had grammatical and/or punctuation mistakes; I should have gotten 100 percent. 3 thumbs down for this one.

I'd have been god's gift in my native language. I'll settle for "not bad" in English.

Wow. Apparently no one perceived that grammar is considered a blanket term here? If something had a punctuation, grammar, or spelling error...it was incorrect. Simple as that.
Koocnosjac, you need a few lessons before you can downvote me. Starting a sentence with a numerical value, instead of just writing out the word? It's not only lazy, it also invalidates your point.

That is something obvious that would never be written in an important paper. Considering this was just a comment, it has much less bearing on the point than creating a quiz on grammar and not knowing your own mistakes. I was simply making a point that when one gets a hundred on a test, the final score should reflect the given effort one puts into it. Let's be a tad less persnickety and be accountable for our own shortcomings. FYI, you spelled my name wrong.

If I want a flame war, I'll go to YTMND and start it up with people that do it well. So I'm not going to get roped into this. I'll just say that most've the people that have told me the test is incorrect, either through E-mail or comments, have typing skills akin to a cat having a seizure on the keyboard.
So to anyone new taking the test, regard grammar to include punctuation and spelling as well. It's really not that hard, people. If a sentence looks incorrect on any basis, label it as incorrect.

What is the scoring? How many sentences out of the 10 were considered correct?

Yeah Nascar, I was wondering the same thing myself. You should post the correct ones and the wrong ones. I got a score of "not bad". Does that mean I got 100% or are there some wrong? Incidentally, I think the people who might take this quiz are ones that know they are pretty good at grammar anyway.

Sadly, here is my score. That was a tough kwizz lol "Basic Grammar Just Average You probably knew a lot of this stuff at one point in your life, but forgot it. It's understandable, not every occupation deals with it on a daily basis. If you're a highly compensated employee at my company; however, I've likely expressed hatred over your three digit salary combined with an inability to tell the difference between your, you're, and yore".

2) Its hard to take people seriously when they behave like idiots. Correct Incorrect Its contraction for it is = it's
3) Several posts on Match Doctor serve as a prime example of this. Correct Incorrect Matchdoctor is one word. Prime example of what?
4) Some people completely ignore the rules of basic grammar Correct Incorrect No period ending the sentence.
5) It really makes, me wonder if they completed even basic education. Correct Incorrect No comma after makes and "even" should come after they.
6) How can someone be forty years old and not understand capitalization? Correct Incorrect
7) So everyone, please look at you're profile. Correct Incorrect your...not you're - comma not needed after everyone unless you are going to put one after so
8) Does it look like a retarded fiddler crab wrote it? Correct Incorrect Wrote what? And retarded is not PC.
9) If so, please ask yourself "Why must my profile be a horrible, screeching deathwail against the sensibilites of people that took the time to learn the language we've all agreed on"? Correct Incorrect you need a comma after "yourself"
10) By the way, the first question in this quiz is a South Park reference. I couldn't think of a good line of questions at first, until I had the idea to endlessly ramble. Correct Incorrect
