I never was a big fan of the original series, but I do like TNG and Voyager. Good quiz, even if I did flunk. Horribly. :)

Jen, liking ST:TNG and ST:V more than ST:TOS just means you must be in your 20's.
And like the quiz states, not doing well doesn't mean you're not a fan. It just means you have more of a life than I do.

Great quiz, but the tribble question was a toughie depending on your point of view. I loved the Doomsday question. Good job

If anyone wants to know the answer to one of the questions, just email me and I'll give it to ya.

Now you all know I am a dork. Thanks for posting this, I really enjoyed taking your quiz.
(A nerd doesn't know they are a nerd, a dork knows they are a nerd, but doesn't care.)

I know the show, I love the show, but I didn't realize I was a hardcore fan. I scare me. I really AM a geek, aren't I?

I get "Trekker/Trekkie", but I'm really not. I just used to sneak out and hide behind the couch to see the episodes at 9pm *past my bedtime ;)*
And I always thought Kirk was a dramatic ham, with less science behind him than a 9 yr old. Now, Mr Spock RULED!!

You could always visit the "Memory Alpha" (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Main_Page, for canon wiki) or "Memory Beta" (http://startrek.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page, for non-canon wiki) if you want to cheat. :)

The first question was really modern political, not Star Trek.
Kahn didn't eventually wind up anywhere. He was blown to bits.
And for those truly unaware, Star Trek has been re-released into syndication, digitally re-mastered, with brand new special effects and re-recorded (in stereo) opening theme music. It's glorious!
Check your local listings.

The first question was really modern political, not Star Trek. True. But I'm testing for whether you're a Trekker/Trekkie, as evidenced by the scoring. A trekker/trekkie would probably know this. So it's a valid question.
Kahn didn't eventually wind up anywhere. He was blown to bits. In the movies, not in the series.

I got "hard core fan", but that is strange since I guessed at the answers and I don' watch the show or any of the spin off's Gee... Of course, there's just plain stupid luck.
But I also actually *designed* this quiz, unlike most other quizes I've taken on MD. I wanted this quiz to be fun and light hearted, not cut-throat or mean.
I gave weighted points for wrong answers that made sense. As long as you didn't answer with something completely outrageous, you got points.
It should be somewhat easy to get either "hardcore fan" or "not much of a fan", and difficult to get "Trekker/Trekkie" (unless you really are one) and the bottom category (I don't even remember what it's called; I think only a couple of people go it).

Congressman David Wu referencing Star Trek? What's next, the President quoting Yoda? May the Gods help us.
In a parallel universe, Khan also winds up in Corinthian Leather. So do his women.
The real trouble with tribbles is finding a restaurant that prepares them properly. I like mine steeped in a Saurian brandy marinade overnight, sautéed in Kalo root and served with a Klavaatu glaze. A crisp, herbaceous Springwine divinely accents the entrée. Now that's good tribble!

Congressman David Wu referencing Star Trek? What's next, the President quoting Yoda? May the Gods help us. Really? I kind of admire him for it. I largely (depending on the circumstances) like when a politician shows a human side: smoking pot, getting some tail, snorting some coke. I want a President who has human problems, because you can only fix human problems if you understand human problems.
In a parallel universe, Khan also winds up in Corinthian Leather. So do his women. I had to Google this reference. LOL!

Star Trek used to scare the shi*t out of me as kid. I hid behind the couch and peeked over when I thought the coast was clear.
Scoring well on that quiz makes me wanna do the cha-cha. Sorry, the dancing banana is the only reasonable choice here.
Guess I'll stop worrying about my long term memory...if only my short term would step into line.
Where am I again? Who the heck are all you people? Man, I need to lay off the tequila...
